TEST DRIVE MEME | #01 OVERFLOW

TDM #01 OVERFLOW
Wow! B&B Mods could never have anticipated our first TDM would require an overflow! We're very flattered and honored by all the interest. Please continue to have fun here, away from the captcha demons.

This is open to all players looking to join our game or simply have some fun. Play on this TDM does not equate to intent or obligation to apply to join. Players on this TDM should follow all game rules and Characters should meet all game suitability standards per our FAQ. TDM threads are considered game canon for characters who join! The Moon Pact is in power for the full duration of this TDM, putting Sun Pact characters as in service. Moon Pact bindings are presently glittering silver and Sun Pact bindings are unpolished brass. Pact and Class can both be freely player assigned and swapped at will for the purpose of the TDM.
Overseer, Awaken and Conquer
CW: Descriptions of dubiously consensual touch, choking, hallucinations, falling.
The Hands that Grasp
Consciousness wanes. From calm oblivion reaches a pair of elegant hands. Fingertips caress, trailing physical form, mapping curves and divots. Some dark or desperate compulsion leans into the comfort of this touch. The hands dig in. Clasping tight at the neck and pull downward. Down and down, through unclear space, through unclear time. Your character awakens with a start. Where they last felt those hands grasping into them, a collar now rests. Prying does not budge the solid metal, which is either of silver or of brass. Before their eyes is a pane of stained glass. Inscribed in a language all can read are the words Overseer, Awaken and Conquer.
The Glass Coffins
Overseers awaken, contained within a coffin of ornate, metal framework and glass. For some, a light push will cause the lid to swing open. For others, the enclosure may stick or prove too heavy to budge. Breaking free is an option, though mysteriously, the glass fully repairs itself within minutes of sustaining damage. Other Overseers may be present throughout the hallways, willing and able to aid in opening stubborn coffins. That is, should their unlucky inhabitants be able to get their attention through the sound dampening barrier. Overseers continually awaken, either individually or in batches, throughout the month. This will last until the day of the upcoming solstice.
The Gilded Cradle
Innumerable rows of glass coffins line the interior of a grand cathedral tower. Somehow, the name of this stained glass spire is imprinted in the mind of all Overseers. This is known as the Gilded Cradle within Absentia. Where or what is Absentia? How did they arrive here? Why are they here? The answers to such questions remain unknown. These names are as far as the foreign memory serves Overseers. The foggy corridors spiral downward, a staircase connecting floor after floor of largely unopened coffins. Many have glass too hazy to see within. The hallways are heavy with the scent of lavender tinged magic and lightning storm ozone, made visible as a thick haze in the air. Through this fog, Overseers may notice one another or they may see phantoms running by. People familiar to them. Chasing after these figments is a foolish endeavor, they will pick up speed into the thick of the fog. There, they will disappear. This can leave unsuspecting Overseers teetering on the topmost edge of a stairwell or allow their momentum to throw them over the central railing. A fall to the Cradle's ground floor isn't enough to kill an Overseer turns out, but it will injure. Beginning your journey battered is merely an added misfortune.
The Castle Constructs
When Overseers leave the Gilded Cradle, they find they're trapped within an abandoned castle. While exploring they find no other living creatures other than fellow Overseers. Throughout the halls and rooms of the castle rest Constructs. These figures are shells of either iron or brass, with a variety of gargoyle-like appearances. They stand with their wings tucked around their bodies. Littered throughout the location, their placements can often clue in to their former duties as the Castle attendants. These Constructs remain completely inert until two Overseers of the same Pact pass by. Iron Constructs react to pairs of Moon Pact members, while Brass Constructs come alive near pairs of Sun Pact members. When awakened, they unfurl and stand to a height ranging from around three-to-six foot tall. The Constructs promptly begin to carry out butler-like duties, as if they were long ago set to a schedule of operation. When presented with a task they can no longer seem to accomplish, they merely pantomime the action before moving onward. (These NPCs can be player controlled and are non-hostile unless attacked first.)
Locked In
CW: Survival themes, food insecurity, exchanging sex for goods and services.
The Kitchen
The kitchen of Absentia is vast, meant to accommodate for a castle population in the hundreds. Long abandoned, any food reserves have turned to dust or rot. All that remains are a series of strange machines, humming with dull magic. Only operable by the castles resident Constructs, hungry Overseers would be advantaged to activate the inactive Constructs scattered nearby. Once occupying the kitchen, Constructs are more likely to provide a meager serving of food to Overseers who have used magic recently or who hold Influence. (Characters playing this TDM with no canon powers may presume they hold (1) Influence for this and subsequent prompts.)
The Hall of Overseers
To the west of the Gilded Cradle there lies a long, rectangular housing structure, framing a vast courtyard. Rain from the storm overhead patters down constantly. Rooms for Overseers line the open air hallways overlooking the nature within the central outdoor space. At this time, those of the Moon Pact enjoy the lower floors of the indoor sections, with luxurious accommodations. These include private rooms with a fireplace, claw foot baths with clean running water, a variety of furniture, and a plush bed. The upper level indoor rooms are for the Overseers presently in service, the Sun Pact. These rooms are all shared and scarcely furnished. Hammocks and bunk beds are provided to house three or four Overseers per cramped room. These upper location hallways have shared bathroom spaces and no private amenities provided. Overseer names are engraved upon the door frame of their assigned rooms. There is no access given to rooms without this engraving. Overseers need to be invited in to rooms they do not own or share. (Rooms are fully self assigned by Players and can change freely between threads. Pact is likewise self assigned, but should match the room type described above. Moon Pact characters are free to invite Sun Pact characters into their rooms, and visa-versa.)
The Hands that Feed
As Overseers settle in, they find resources are thin and accessible castle space highly limited. There is no exit from the castle at this time. Trying to fly out over the top of Hall of Overseers courtyard results in perpetually being turned around by the Storm until exhausted. Overseers who try to smash windows or break through the architecture find their magic or strength immediately drained. Teleportation leads back to where one attempted to leave from. The trap feels inescapable. This inevitably creates an air of frustration and futility within the awakened Overseer ranks. All there is to do is to make do.

➤Attentive characters will discover quickly that Constructs bring extra rations as room service to those in Power. This at first appears exclusive to the Moon Pact within the Hall of Overseers. The Constructs do this when Overseers have sex in the luxury of the lower floor rooms. However, the Constructs range of understanding is a bit impaired, so fucking in the courtyard also works to call food and drink, regardless of Pact alignment.

➤For those seeking a more direct approach to acquiring extra rations, there's always robbery. The Constructs are not highly fortified. Their routes from the kitchen to the Hall of Overseers are easy enough to intercept. They do resist Overseers who attempt to steal from them, defending the food if attacked. Overseers who damage Constructs find they simply curl back into their wings, where they become both immobile and invulnerable from further damage. They will repair themselves in time and do not... appear... to hold a grudge. The Overseers whose meals were hijacked might, though.

The Courtyard
The courtyard at the center of the Hall of Overseers is a public space with five distinct sections. At the center, there is an ornate fountain that serves as the most reliable, public spot for clean drinking water. The fountain depicts the three Classes, though all of them are partially destroyed. The Ruler has their hands broken off, the Dragon is missing its head, and the pegasus shaped Herald has a hole in its chest. Grimly, the water flows from each of these missing pieces into the pool below. This space is open and visible to all, especially from the higher rooms of the Hall. This central location serves well as a social hub and meet up point for Overseers to congregate, though it is perpetually raining here.

Heralds and Dragons experience their first urge to transform within the Courtyard. They are able to resist it, if their willpower is sufficiently high, but the compulsion is strong. Dragons feel a need to shed their skin, to fly and be free. There is not much room for multiple, large dragons to do either of these things. Mind your wings! Heralds begin to feel territorial, wishing to reinvigorate the long dead space. Heralds are able to terraform within the confines of garden planters as they see fit, but they may find them destroyed by Dragons or usurped by other Heralds. Miniature territory disputes may serve as practice for times ahead. Rulers can hear mysterious whispers throughout the Courtyard, but especially nearby the fountain. If they acknowledge these whispers aloud, they will get a response. Those Rulers who listen closely can hear the mocking words "you're not leaving this time."
The other four quadrants surrounding the central fountain are overgrown and wild, contrasting the initially desolate central area. These spaces are each themed to a different season; spring, summer, fall, and winter. Once Overseers enter one of the gated in spaces, the area within appears larger than the outside barrier suggests. The temperature varies wildly between each, though the Storm over head remains consistent. Each contains a singular hideaway which the Constructs will bring food to. These shield Overseers from outside view, but may turn out to be in hot demand. Mind yourselves if trying to sneak into one of these spots for privacy, they may already be taken! (Each hideaway may be customized at player discretion to suit their threads. A single piece of furniture for leisure may be present, like a lounge or hammock. Some ideas for natural spaces would be hidden behind a waterfall, beneath a canopy of trees, a frosty cave, or an alcove hidden by fallen leaves.)
Starting a week into June, there is a new development within the courtyard.
Grief Hath Mates
Class Scenarios
Note: The following prompts are available for all Players, though abilities should always match up with a character's present Class! Class for characters on the TDM can change between threads, but should not change mid-thread. This fully locks down upon acceptance to the game. Characters are presently "unstable" in their Pact and Class assignments, so all threads can remain canon, even if they contradict Pact or Class assigned later on. Any changes made to shared setting environments below are temporary, so feel free to play with destructive and creation powers as specified.
RULERS
➤Rulers who attempt to speak to the Constructs will find they are reacted to in a way the Dragons and Heralds are not. Constructs do not speak back, but they are more attentive towards Rulers regardless of their Influence level. If asked where something is, Constructs will dutifully guide the Ruler to the location in question if it exists. Sometimes, Constructs will open up previously locked doors. None of these lead outside, but they offer some new clues to how the castle once operated in the past. Rulers can open up additional rooms to explore such as a drawing room, a music room, a wine cellar, and a smoking room. These rooms all have basic supplies for their given activity, including aged wine and cigars in the latter two respectively. Rulers with clever tongues or manipulative sensibilities can convince the Constructs to leave them “in charge” of a room. This grants the Ruler a key to the door they can leverage as they please. (Players can play their Ruler as if they hold exclusive control of a room, but this is not imposed TDM-wide. Multiple Rulers can each claim the same type room, no player actually holds full IC/OOC control.)
DRAGONS
➤Dragons are going to be the first to snap under such cramped conditions. Their natural urges are to spread out and fly, not be stuck within a castle. The more volatile Dragons will find their natural instinct is to go Berserk. Berserk mode can be engaged in either their humanoid or Dragon form, though Dragons can only transform at this time within the confines of the Courtyard. If Dragons are causing trouble in the Courtyard, luring or forcing them out of the Courtyard at large forces a Dragon to return to their humanoid form. Getting in fights may not be productive, but it might provide some enrichment to Overseers wishing to challenge each other or keep the peace. (Reminder: Dragons, regardless of form, are especially durable and may prove difficult to subdue! Rulers are best suited to this task, given they have a natural advantage over Dragons. Heralds can make their own attempts, it is simply more risky for them given how fragile they are.) Dragons of more even temperaments can make themselves productive by using relevant elemental magic around the castle. The castle interior is lit only by the dull glow of the sun or moon, which are often dulled by the cloud cover overhead. Providing temperature control or lighting could be a great ease to their own mental state, as well as benefit their fellow Overseers.
HERALDS
➤While cooked rice, dried meat, and pickled vegetables are largely what is being provided, there is a distinct lack of fruit or alcohol coming out of the kitchen. Heralds may find themselves especially desperate for these. Within the courtyard only, they can flex their newly found Class abilities to rapidly influence nature. Heralds may find themselves having vivid daydreams about their favorite fresh fruits from home. These fantasies manifest, growing the imagined fruits from nearby vines, bushes, and trees. This can happen deliberately or entirely by accident. However, due to the imperfect nature of both memory and imagination, these fruits are never fully accurate recreations. The taste and quality of the fruit end up heavily influenced by a Herald’s own subjective experience and are prone to exaggeration. Any fruit from any world is allowed, these simply cannot cause any magical effects. Devious Heralds which imagine poisonous fruits can injure, but not kill fellow Overseers. Such produce can be used to make alcohol by those with the knowledge and wherewithal to do so. Any manner of food is in demand and Heralds have this to provide. Replenishing energy though sex is always an option to help produce more or better resources of this kind.

Ellwood is now... Fast asleep, laying in the dirt, being rained on. When Daan first touches him, he doesn't stir at all, but repeated attempts do make his face scrunch a bit and his head roll to the side. The water that's collected around his eyes spills down like tears as he does so.

He groans and grumbles as he realizes not only is he incomprehensibly tired, but also dirty and cold and wet. Where is he, the trenches? No, Daan is here. Daan and Levi, whose voice he hears from above. Ellwood looks over at him, blinking and squinting.

"Are you all right?" He murmurs, remembering the whole strange situation of shooting him while he was a beast.

"In control until I'm not... if you see a cat chasing the chickens around, no, you didn't."

Please, Daan is asking you to pretend you saw nothing, Levi. Do him that solid.

He shakes Ellwood with more and more urgency until he wakes, looking relieved when he does. Yeah, it does feel a bit like being in the trenches about now. Unpleasant...

"I patched him up just right, Ellwood. Are you well? We'll both catch cold in the wet and muck like this,"

"Right." Don't worry Daan, your secret is safe with him.

Probably. There's definitely a bit of amusement flickering in his eyes, but not in a mean-spirited way. Mostly he's just a little worried that there doesn't seem to be a tried and true recipe to not turn into a mindless beast.

Ellwood finally seems to come to, and Levi wastes no time confirming Daan's answer; "Good as new. Don't worry."

Should he... offer to carry them inside? He probably could. His brace might not be able to bear the weight, though. So he just lingers awkwardly for now, waiting for some sort of signal about whether he's needed here or if he's supposed to give these two some privacy.

"Oh, good." He sounds relieved and closes his eyes again. He has to work hard not to fall back asleep.

"I'm so tired..." He whines, trying to push himself up on his elbows and only barely making it. "But we should go in..."

He yearns terribly for a bath and a nap in Daan's bed, but it seems impossible to get there. His body is like lead and he can feel gravity pulling him steadily toward the ground again. He collapses back down with a dramatic groan.

"We must go in," Daan corrects, seeing how tapped out Ellwood is, it should be said. They are absolutely not staying out here. Daan needs to rally. He can rally. Okay.

After a deep breath in, a hesitation, then another, the doctor manages to pull himself up. He's good. He's got enough gumption to get out of the rain at least. He looks to Levi with some apologetic edge to his eye,

"Mind you help me with him? I know he shot you, but," that's probably rude to ask the man, "he probably didn't mean it."

Probably. What a rousing endorsement.

Levi doesn't find it rude, though his tolerance is probably pretty damn high considering he sometimes insults people just by talking to them. Sometimes intentionally, but nevertheless.

"It's fine," he answers half-automatically before correcting, "I don't think he knew it was me."

He's a little tapped out himself, but clearly not as much as Ellwood, at least. So he walks around to the youngster's other side and does his best to bend down enough without actually crouching to get a hold of one of his arms and pull it over his shoulders to pull him up.

"I didn't, I swear," Ellwood mutters. He'd never shoot Levi on purpose, not even if he was an unruly private or dragon. He already apologized, anyhow.

He feels guilty making Levi help him, with his bad leg and all, so he does his best to help the two men in lifting him up. He tries not to be completely dead weight, and once he's on his feet and supported by them, it's easier to fathom just putting one foot in front of the other, a slow march.

"Thank you, Daan," he mumbles.
livelamentlove: (soft-spoken)

[personal profile] livelamentlove 2026-06-18 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Daan is well aware of that knee injury, so he'll take the side best suited to ease Levi's strain. He gestures them towards his room, so they can head that way together. It isn't far.

"I've got you," Daan assures to Ellwood, simple and dedicated in the assertion.

Before immediately being a terror.

"Levi, you offered to clean up as a favor for me, you remember that?" he inquires, before going on, "what about getting the filth out of this one's hair? I think he's got more mud than wax stuck between those curls at this point,"
wingbound: (ugh // we're in a shitty situation)

[personal profile] wingbound 2026-06-18 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Levi doesn't find Ellwood heavy at all, though by the time they approach their destination, his knee does feel a bit more sore than usual. At least the brace seems to be holding just fine with that much added weight.

He makes a small grunt of acknowledgement when Daan reminds him of his offer, and gives Ellwood's haircut a critical once-over.

"I've actually been thinking about that," he agrees, as if Ellwood isn't right there. "It's an eyesore."
dearestdarling: (elly 68)

[personal profile] dearestdarling 2026-06-18 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
An eyesore! Been thinking about it?! Ouch... Does Levi truly hate his hair that much?

"It'll be even more of an eyesore if you wash it, since I've no wax to style it with," he grumbles. He told Daan this already! Apparently, to Ellwood, not washing his hair for two weeks and having it full of mud and a rogue shard of porcelain is preferable to wearing it natural and unstyled.
livelamentlove: nobody ever loved me (Nobody ever loved me)

[personal profile] livelamentlove 2026-06-18 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Not saying Daan can hear the exact shape of Ellwood's upset, but he can definitely imagine it. He gives a little smirk, because that's the sore spot to attack. He will see Ellwood cleaned up, yet.

"At this rate, I'll need to shear you with my scalpel," Daan threatens, tone playfully stern, "how do you think you'd look bald, Ellwood? Quite dashing-?"
wingbound: (unimpressed // are you kidding me)

[personal profile] wingbound 2026-06-19 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
It's slightly less bad than facial hair... but only slightly.

Levi definitely gives him a weird look when he mentions wax. As if he's somehow not only familiar with it but also has an opinion he's not afraid to share. "So you're that kind of guy," he says flatly as he reminisces about Erwin and his god damn unfortunate slicked-into-a-helmet hair. He wanted to project a certain image, Levi is aware of it, but he always thought it looked better after the wind had shaken it loose. "Bet it looks much better without it."

He only gives a side-eye to Daan's... threat, he thinks that's supposed to be. "Hair grows back," he counters as he reassesses what they're dealing with. "You might have to cut that crow's nest at the front, though. Is that a piece of a fucking plate stuck in there?"

[personal profile] dearestdarling 2026-06-19 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Daan can probably feel the gist of it through their bond: a bristle of insecure defensiveness, like he's pushing their hands away from touching an old wound.

"I can assure you, it doesn't," he mutters quietly. His hair and his Jewishness are some of the only things he's been consistently picked on about at school, so he has to assume his natural hair is unappealing, ugly, or embarrassing in some way.

"Right, can we all just leave my hair alone?" His words come out a little louder and sharper than he fully intends. Maybe if he weren't in such a cranky mood, he'd be able to joke around with them, to brush it off. In this moment when he's wet, cold, dirty, and tired, it's difficult to muster his usual charm.

"Do you hear him? He's just ridiculous," Daan says over Ellwood, to Levi instead, "have you met him not covered in mud? He'd quite the glad lad. Truly stunning, his hair would look fantastic if it was only clean again."

A shift in tactic, but still in the vein of Ellwood's vanity. Daan's not above taking that low road, but then again he doesn't understand Ellwood's sensitivity on the matter. He's show some respect if he did... but alas, he just thinks the young man is being a fuss.

"We need to throw him directly in my bath, regardless."
wingbound: (ugh // we're in a shitty situation)

[personal profile] wingbound 2026-06-19 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
"I'll be the judge of that," he counters. He has no idea what Ellwood's problem is, but the young man seems genuinely insecure, and Levi doesn't understand it. Is he hiding a receding hairline under that tangle of hair and porcelain shards?

He nods understandingly toward Daan. "Leave it to me," he says. "I have experience with things like this."

Things like this being force-bathing a subordinate who doesn't want to be cleaned and tries to fight him with the ferocity of ten rabid raccoons before he knocks them out. At least it doesn't look like that will be necessary with Ellwood; he's barely able to walk as is.

[personal profile] dearestdarling 2026-06-19 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Ellwood is almost seething for a moment as Daan calls him ridiculous, but then he realizes the cad is giving him a compliment of some sort. Both men are... Trying to be encouraging about his hair in their own way, perhaps, but he's certain it will look embarrassing.

However, he's also certain he doesn't have the energy to fight the both of them, physically or emotionally. He just wants to get clean, and he's not currently able to do that himself, so he's going to have to rely on them and let them do what they want.

So he sighs, sounding utterly resigned and as tired as an eighty-year-old man. Yes, do with him what you will, he won't fight it (much).
livelamentlove: (Something's wailing)

[personal profile] livelamentlove 2026-06-19 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
"I trust you implicitly," Daan declares breezily, though he'll supervise this nonsense for Ellwood's sake. He wouldn't suspect Levi to have any ill intentions, but Daan isn't going to leave Ellwood so vulnerable with anybody. He'd be resentful if the young man did so if Daan was the one left so weak...

They get to Daan's room and he invited Levi through the door. It reads Daniël Von Dutch on the frame, which he resents. Daan is far preferable...

When they get inside, he toes off his own shoes at the door, then helps Ellwood out of his boots and overcoat. He'll offer to help Levi if he needs, given the state of holding up Ellwood and his knee, he can decline the help or not, Daan isn't fussed.

They make it to his bathroom and Daan flips on the water without plugging it.

"Just throw him in there to let the muck rinse down first. No use soaking in it." Will Ellwood insist on going in in his clothing or have it removed? Up to him! Daan doesn't see much difference, he's a mess either way...
wingbound: (unimpressed // are you kidding me)

[personal profile] wingbound 2026-06-19 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Big words for someone you just met."

He's aware he's probably one of the best people to trust in many circumstances in general, but it's never an absolute, and that is a pretty strong declaration considering this is what, the second time they talk face to face? But he'll leave it at that.

Daan had mentioned the other name to him, so while Levi glances at the nameplate, he says nothing about it. The man had told him he prefers Daan, so that's what he'll call him.

Levi looks grumpy about it, but he will accept help to take his boots off, as it is quite tricky for him especially with the brace. At least he's stopped wearing the lower metal parts of the harness, so it's not as much of a pain as it could be.

He does do a little doubletake when the man tells him to just toss Ellwood in. It's not like he hasn't dunked Hange with their entire uniform before, but it's a little nasty. Still, it might help to rinse off the worst of the mud and then wash the man and the clothes separately.

"With the everything?" he doublechecks, already shifting his position a bit for better leverage. If Daan confirms it, he'll duck slightly to get his other hand behind Ellwood's knees and pretty much princess-lift him into the tub.

[personal profile] dearestdarling 2026-06-19 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Ellwood trusts Levi implicitly, too. A fellow soldier, one he knows is reasonable in spite of that beast that now dwells within him. After all, he must have understood Ellwood's logic even while he was in that form, or else he'd never have been able to talk him down purely with words. He knows neither man would do anything untoward with him, and even if Levi tried something, Daan wouldn't allow any nonsense.

He thanks Daan quietly as he helps him out of his outdoor clothing, almost falling asleep standing up while his lover unties Levi's boots. He rouses himself enough to shuffle to the bathroom, and is starting to undo his tie and his shirt buttons (he has no qualms with being nude in front of Daan for obvious reasons, and in general, he's done a lot of bathing in the presence of other men) when Levi scoops him up.

"Ah-!" Even his surprise is muted and weary, and he doesn't fight as Levi lowers him into the tub, but he does grumble.

"At least let me get my clothes off..." He understands the need to clean his clothes as well, but could they not do that separately? Continuing to be in wet clothing sounds awful right about now. He fumbles with his shirt buttons and tries to remove his tie and belt.

Daan steps away when Levi hoists Ellwood all on his own. Hot damn, that man is so small, but so strong. That's terribly attractive, isn't it?

No getting side tracked on that thought. Focus up, Daan. He unbuttons his own vest to shrug off and set aside. Looking to his pants, he just sighs at the muddy state of them. He'll handle that later. All he does further is roll and button his sleeves. Still work to do, it seems!

"Yes, if you like. Here," Daan leans over into the tub to begin helping Ellwood strip down. Dutifully! In that clinical way he has when he's being serious. The young man's clothing is taken aside and he will shake out the worst of the muck to go down the drain, before setting the messy garments aside. A round of laundry in his tub later on will have to be the chore... best to focus for now on cleaning up Ellwood than their clothing.
wingbound: (torture // handle with gloves)

[personal profile] wingbound 2026-06-19 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Levi's spent enough time in the military that nudity doesn't particularly bother him either, though he still prefers to bathe privately if he has the option to do so. (There's been a few individuals that could somewhat fluster him with their looks alone, but they tended to be older and broader, so that's not a concern here.)

As is, he'll allow Daan to handle the undressing, and he will instead man the faucet (or whatever arrangement is available that the water is coming out of) and make sure the already removed muddy clothes get rinsed properly before they're moved out of the tub.

He'll also look around for anything like clippers or scissors or even a straight razor if there's no other options, as well as snoop around the cabinets for soap.

Yeah, Ellwood may have some Thoughts about Levi's strength later... But for now he'll do his best not to get hard while in this particular position, mainly so as not to make Levi uncomfortable.

"Thank you," he breathes as Daan helps him with his clothing. This all seems like a lot of fuss, but the older men are intent on fussing, so fine, he'll let it happen. He keeps his boxers on. Not that they'll do a lot to obscure him once they're wet, but a small layer of decency to make this a little less weird is welcome. He has a few scars and moles, but his olive-toned skin is otherwise largely beautiful and unblemished. He has some muscle, but his frame overall is slight and a bit boyish, limbs long and delicate.

Once his clothes are off, he sighs and leans back against the side of the tub, bending his knees to stick his feet under the flow of the tap. Then he leans forward, rinsing his hands and cupping them to gather water and splash it on his face. It works twofold, to clean off his face and wake him up a bit at the same time, especially since this water tends to be lukewarm at best. He does wish it were hot, but then he'd be asleep in an instant, so maybe it's for the better.

The urge to push Ellwood's head directly beneath that faucet is there, but Daan will resist. He can tell something about their insistence really bothers Ellwood, though he can't grasp what that is beyond vanity. Another tactic, then, as he folds the dirty clothes to set aside for washing later...

"You really need to wash your hair, Ellwood," he reminds, before offering with his serious tone, "if you truly do look ghastly after, you can shave me bald in revenge for my sleight. Fur and all! I'm that certain you'll only improve in looks with cleanliness."

Daan won't mention that Ellwood would have to catch him, first. That can go unsaid.

The Thoughts will not be disallowed, as long as they happen at an appropriate place and time. Which right now it probably isn't, so the effort is appreciated.

Regretfully, Levi doesn't seem to find anything sharp that could be used to cut hair, but he does find what looks like a brass mug of some sort, the usual crumbly soap and a vaguely familiar looking vial with foaming plant matter. He stares at it for a moment, then lifts it to get Daan's attention.

"Where'd you get that?" Heavens please tell him there are more, preferably less insane botanists here.

He unfortunately doesn't have any qualms about forcing someone into a state of cleanliness, however, and he'll be using that mug to fill it with the running water and then pour it on Ellwood's hair tangle without any further warning. Here's hoping water will be enough to dislodge the dishware slivers from it, but if not, he'll have to ask the doctor to use his scalpel.

"You don't want lice, do you?" he levels at the younger man instead, staring down at him with his usual blank expression. (That technically has nothing to do with cleanliness, but it's very possible that's not common knowledge in his world yet... or he's aware and he's banking on Ellwood not knowing that.)

Oh yes, they'll be inside thoughts for some time, but he certainly finds Levi handsome.

As Daan presses Ellwood further to wash his hair, he sighs and concedes.

"Yes, fine." It is filthy, and he misses being fully clean. He tips his head back and shuts his eyes, allowing Levi to pour water in his hair.

"No..." He mutters quietly, not mentioning that he might have lice right now. The trenches are filthy in all ways imaginable, but he hasn't felt itchy since arriving, so he's hoping he doesn't currently.

The porcelain in his hair is a singular shard, a piece of a plate big and sharp enough to have sliced dangerously into his neck if it had been aimed better, which was the intention of the one who threw it, unbeknownst to Ellwood. As such, it cut a couple of his ringlets off, which have since fallen out, and it now sits tangled in the other waxy, dirty locks. With water softening the curls and a careful touch, it should come out without the need for shearing.
